This widely anticipated contest launched in 2014 as a way to provide law enforcement agencies the opportunity to share photos of positive interaction with the communities they serve. Since 2014, we have received over 900 photos of law enforcement and community engagement!
We invite you to capture your most spirited and creative community policing moment and submit it for an opportunity to be featured on the COPS Office website and its Twitter and Facebook
Your photo should reflect positive engagement that promotes community policing and trust building with community members, stakeholders, local government, and others. While photos may include community members of all ages, we highly encourage photos depicting interactions with adults due to privacy concerns with photos of minors (please see the website for important details regarding photos of minors).
Each law enforcement agency may submit one official submission of one photo that accurately depicts the department’s community policing efforts. Please note that photos may be used in other COPS Office communications in the future and there is no cash award or other prize for this photo contest.
All photos must be submitted by 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please visit our website for complete contest rules, terms and conditions along with frequently asked questions. Winners will be notified no later than December 28, 2018, by email. All reproductions of the image will include the photo credit information provided.
