Police search for suspects who defaced downtown property

The Mount Pleasant Police Department is on the search for who may be responsible for defacing property in downtown Mt. Pleasant.

The department said on their facebook page, “This is not the town to do it in!” and that they take graffiti and tagging very seriously. The department said they will prosecute anyone found to have criminally defaced property.

“We are looking for the person who placed this graffiti on a wall downtown,” said the department. “We are offering two choices. Turn yourself in and pay for the damages to resolve the problem or when we find you expect to go to jail.”

If anyone has information related to this crime, please contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 903-575-4004.
