High temperatures will top out near 80 degrees across much of the four state region as clouds push into the area. Southerly winds will be strong across western sections of the forecast area but will relax by the early evening timeframe.
Showers and thunderstorms will begin to develop Friday night, increasing in coverage and intensity during the day Saturday. As some of these storms will become severe, it is likely localized areas could receive upwards of six inches of rain. These rainfall amounts may result in localized flooding, particularly in vulnerable locations that received excess rainfall last weekend. Rainfall will begin to diminish during the overnight hours Saturday Night.
